The Re-Inventing Japan Project “Consortium for International Human Resource Development for Disaster-Resilient Countries” is to conduct the Faculty Development Symposium in the Imperial Queen’s Park Hotel in Bangkok on March 10, 2013.

The purpose of the symposium is to make good use of furthermore revision and enrichment in the contents of future programs of the Project. In the symposium, the outcomes of the collaborative education by Thailand and Japan will be presented, reviewed and discussed from the standpoints of the students as well as of the faculties of both countries.

In the last-year’s collaborative course-works held in Thailand as well as in Japan, thirty students participated from the both countries: fifteen graduate students from Asian Institute of Technology, Chulalongkorn University and Kasetsart University and fifteen graduate students from Kyoto University.

The participants in the symposium are expected to be about one hundred professors and students from Vietnam National University, Hanoi (Vietnam), Institute of Technology, Bandung (Indonesia), and University of Malaya (Malaysia), in addition to those from Thailand and Japan.
