Flyer

Important Information

Grade levels

  • Both undergraduate and graduate students are welcome essentially for any lecture courses.
  • Cross Cultural Engineering Design (CCED): Undergraduate level, but graduate students may also find it interesting.
  • Performant Programming (PerfProg): Undergraduate and Graduate level
  • 3D Engines in Practice (3D Engines): Undergraduate level, but graduate students may also find it interesting.

Workloads for Kyoto University students

CCED

This is the easiest course to join. It will be at a lower level / less demanding, material-wise. Students can join in an ad hoc manner.

PerfProg

UF students attending this lecture have completed two years of prerequisite coursework. Students with at least some Python and C/C++ experience could find it valuable. KU students may participate in the lecture topics of their choice. Most of the lectures related to Rust language will be covered on Zoom (with recordings) two weeks before UF students arrive in Japan and you can watch them. Since it is a series of lectures, it would be meaningless to attend only a few sessions.

3D Engines

It requires little background and it would be fine for most anyone to join the lectures. Since it is a series of lectures, it would be meaningless to attend only a few sessions.

Excursions

Generally, UF students go on an excursion every Friday. KU students can participate in any of the excursions. If you are willing to mingle with them, please let the UF members know directly when you attend a lecture, or contact our e-mail address shown in the flyer.

Before registering for lectures, please read the syllabi carefully to confirm their contents. While "Cross Cultural Engineering Design" is easy to work with and communication-based, the other two lectures involve hands-on activities and assignments.
