[Yoshida 2 Libraries]The change of service measures to prevent spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)
The North Library, Eng. and the South Library, Eng. will begin provisional operations on Nov. 15, 2021. The opening hours and services will be as follows in order to take measures against the novel coronavirus.

Current Library Hours & Browsing
Please continue to use the "Place a Hold Service" because Library staff pick up the materials from the Stack Rooms.
- Reading seats (North Library: 8 seats, South Library: 22 seats) are available. The opening time is 9: 00 -17:00 on weekdays.
- You can pick up and look at the open shelf materials. Library staff pick up the materials from the Stack Rooms in The South Library, so please ask at the counter. You can use it smoothly if you apply for the "Place a Hold Service" in advance.
- Please read your student ID or IC card when you enter the library.
- We ask those with the following symptoms to refrain from visiting the library.
The symptoms : Fever, Cough, Sneezing and Fatigue - Please keep a distance from other users in the reading rooms, and disinfect the desk and seat with prepared disinfection goods by yourself.
- Non-Kyoto University Members need a reservation in advance. Go to "Visitors" page for details.

- Kyoto University members can read and borrow books.
- You can also place a hold request on items held in these libraries. Please make a request by clicking the “Reserve” button on KULINE. Go to "Place a Hold Service" page for details.
- You can also pick up books from Katsura Library with this service.
- Materials will be delivered as follows. We will let you know by email when the materials are ready.
- The hours available are from 9:00 to 17:00 on weekdays. You can also pick up books from 12:00 to 13:00.
- You can return to any one of The North Library, The South Library and Katsura Library. Please use the library counter or return box when you return.
- Materials can be returned by postal mail or other delivery services if they are packed appropriately so that they are not damaged in transit. (Users are to pay the delivery fee.)

Copy of Library Materials
The borrowing prohibited materials(journals, reference books, etc.) will be provided in PDF file free of charge using EDDS. If the materials is not prohibited from lending, please borrow them.

- Select "Private expense" for "Payment Type" on the STEP 4 Request information input.
- Please write in the notes that you request EDDS from the Faculty of Engineering.

- The EDDS service is usually limited to public expense and charged.
- The PDF file is only available on campus network for two weeks.
