The on-site Laboratory is a place established cooperatively with overseas universities and research institutes, where Kyoto university could act more efficiently than before by vigorously supporting overseas bases owned by its departments. That gives us an opportunity to promote advanced research leading the world, and to recruit excellent international students, strengthen cooperation with the industry.

The Cooperative Center has attained a greater support from both university headquarters and the Council because of its excellent research and educational achievements in the field of environmental science and technology.  Taking this opportunity, the Cooperative Center will take the next step forward.
