Study Abroad/Overseas Travel
Students who study abroad can be broadly divided into two categories. In the first category, exchange students pursue overseas study programs based on inter-university and inter-departmental exchange agreements. All the other Kyoto University students studying abroad can be grouped into the second category.

Notification of Overseas Travel
When you travel abroad for any purposes, you have to fill in the form, "Nortification of Overseas Travel" (Download the form from here or available in the administrative office.) and submit it to the administration office. All students including international students and non-regular students are required to complete this notification.
Study Abroad / Overseas Travel & Travel Insurance

Overseas Travel for International Students
Please note that when international students leave Japan temporarily or re-enter Japan, you have to take the necessary procedures under the immigration law (KU HP). Also, you are requested to get travel safety information from the overseas diplomatic missions of your country and make efforts to be prepared in case of emergency or unusual situations.
