Visiting Other University Libraries
Katsura Library, The North Library, and The South Library issue a letter of introduction for those who wish to visit a library of another university (institution) (for those who belong to the Graduate School of Engineering, the Faculty of Engineering, and related centers) if the materials they need are not held in Kyoto University libraries.
Before visiting other university libraries
-
Please use KULINE (Kyoto University Libraries Online Catalog), etc. to check if the material is held in Kyoto University libraries.
-
Please check the website of the library you are visiting to confirm the availability of the material, its opening days, and how to use the library.
Your ID/Student ID may be required or advance notification may be required. In some cases, a letter of introduction is not required (only a student or faculty/staff ID is needed), but if you want to ensure access to a particular material, please request a letter of introduction in advance.Academic Libraries on the Web
