Theater Room is a space for viewing video materials on the first floor of Katsura Library.theaterroom.jpg

Equipped with soundproofing, you can watch Blu-ray and DVD on a 4K-compatible 85inch TV.

Use restrictions to prevent the spread of new coronavirus infection

For the time being, the following measures will be implemented to prevent the spread of new coronavirus infections.

  • Available time : 9:00-20:45 (Applications are accepted until 20: 30)
  • Purpose of Use: Viewing video materials (Blu-ray, DVD only. In addition to the materials owned by Katsura Library, it is also possible to bring in materials)
  • Limited to Kyoto University members.
  • Up to 4 people can use at the same time.
  • Reservation required. Each person can use it up to 120 minutes. We will keep your card temporarily and lend you the key in exchange.
  • You can extend it if there is no reservation next time. 
  • Materials owned by Katsura Library: Please check out at the information desk.
  • Bringing materials: Please apply at the information desk.
※To prevent the spread of new coronavirus infections, it will be temporarily closed for ventilation and disinfection for 15 minutes after use.
