Demonstration Experiment to be Conducted on the 1st floor of Katsura Library (Dec. 9–Dec. 13, 2024)
A demonstration experiment will be taking place on the first floor of Katsura Library as follows.
Please note that the devices necessary for the experiment have already been installed at the experiment site. However, they will not be activated during the library’s opening hours, except for the designated experiment duration.
Experiment title: Demonstration Experiment of Multiple Robot Services for Coexistence with Humans
Duration: December 9–December 13, 2024
Time: 10:00 am–5:00 pm
Outline:
On the 1st floor of Katsura Library, we will be conducting a demonstration experiment of a mobile robot system that utilizes information from stationary indoor sensors and robot-mounted sensors. The focus of this experiment is on multiple services provided by the robots to humans, such as voice guidance, garbage collection, anomaly detection, and water distribution. The mobile robots will be operational in the designated area between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm.
If you have any objections to this demonstration, please contact the following contact information.
Please note that the sensors installed on the equipment and the robots do not store images of individuals in non-volatile memory, nor do they store any information that can identify individuals. Additionally, the robots will not engage in any actions that could lead to accidents or injuries.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
