How to Access the Basement Stack Rooms

Users who would like to use materials in Katsura Library basement stack rooms (Stacks 3-5)  can enter the area.

Hours

• Until 30 minutes before closing  (last admission: 45 minutes before closing)

Who Can Enter

• Kyoto University users

Target Materials

• Materials that are labeled as "Stack 3" to "Stack 5" on KULINE

How to Use

• Please come to the Information Desk on the 2nd floor.  (No reservation required) 
• We will hold your ID card and provide you with a card for entering the stack rooms.

Notes

• Only valuables, writing utensils, laptops, tablets and smartphones are allowed in the stack rooms. Please store all other belongings in the lockers next to the Information Desk.
• To search materials while in the stack rooms, please use your own device (laptop, tablet, or smartphone). KUINS-Air (Wi-Fi) is available in "Stack 3".
• When you take materials out of the basement stack rooms, even for in-library use, you are required to check out materials at the Information Desk.
• During busy periods, you may be asked to wait for entry.
• Non-Kyoto University users  (including Alumni and retired faculty/staff) cannot enter the basement stack rooms. If you would like to use any materials, please ask at the Information Desk.
