[Engineering Library & Learning Commons] Temporary Summer Closures and Adjustments to Library Services (Aug 17 – Sep 30)

The Engineering North Library, Engineering South Library, and Learning Commons will temporarily close or operate under shortened hours during the 2026 summer break. These adjustments are necessary to facilitate collection maintenance and a review of our service structure. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Opening Hours for Summer 2026

Engineering South Library	11:00 AM – 3:00 PM	・Circulation services only (e.g.,pick-up reserved books, book returns) ・Reading rooms are unavailable. ・In addition, the library may be temporarily closed as needed.

Accessing Library Materials

Borrow and Return	During these periods, you can borrow books from the North/South Library if you reserve or place holds on via KULINE in advance. Borrow Location: South Library (including books from the North Library) Return Location: The service counter or the book drop at the South Library, and the book drop at the North Library. Books requested from libraries on other campuses (such as the Katsura Library or Uji Library) will also be available for pickup at the South Library. If you wish to use materials that cannot be requested online via KULINE (such as journals or reference books), please contact the library directly.
Loan Renewals	If there are no reservations by other users, you can extend the return due date through KULINE. If you are unable to process the renewal through KULINE, please bring the items you wish to renew along with your IC card to the South Library counter during its opening hours.
